Piano Tote
Made a piano bag for a little girl who started learning to play the piano. Thought it was quite apt for when she goes to lessons with her books. You can find the tutorial on how to make it here.
East London Cycle
Usually I would record my cycle rides on this blog but I thought I’d walk today because I tend to miss out on all the cool shops when I fly by on my bike. I decided to take start my journey at Hoxton Square. I love unplanned walks because I am always surprised at the things I find..
Like this uber cool art gallery with the big fonts.
Valentines Day
Took me by complete surprise when a box arrived at my doorstep containing roses, choc and a sweet vase to put the flowers in on valentines day. Thank you V :) xxx
Amigurumi bears
A friend of mine is selling her handmade bow ties at Southsea Portsmouth this weekend. Check out her handmade goods on her facebook page. I’ll be supporting her by contributing a few handmade amigurumi bears. All original patterns that I created too. I hope they’ll go to a good home.
‘Play me, I’m yours’
It was 5am in the morning and I couldn’t sleep. I had the cycle bug so decided to grab my bike for a ride around town and discovered a little path full of rabbits! The last two photos is a Street Art installation by Luke Jerram called ‘Play me, I’m yours’. I really love this idea. There are twenty of these pianos lying around in the streets of London. Tempted to cycle to all of them but only managed to play on five.
Bookbinding
I needed a notebook I could throw into my backpack on my cycle journeys so I decided to make one using the coptic stitch binding method. Also came across one of my lomography photos I took when I went to Portobello market last summer and saw these colorful rows of houses. It was just the perfect size to adorn my new notebook. Below are other books I’ve binded in the past. Bookbinding is one of my favorite things to do and you can never have too many sketchbook.
Cycling in Docklands
The sun was out last week and I just had to cycle. I love the freedom on the road and being able to go wherever I please. I wish weather like these was a regular occurrence! I’m making the most of it. I have this guide book called ‘Secret London’ which I’ll be going through and checking out this summer.
Cousin’s Birthday Gift
It was my cousin’s ninth birthday and I decided to knit her a little bear as a gift.
Not sure if you can tell in the picture but it’s holding a little heart too!
Group Reunion
Class of 2011
I love comical photos like these. Featuring my two sisters and J’s boyfriend. I have a pretty big family and a lot of younger cousins and siblings. They’ve been a subject of my creative photos and video experiments growing up. I must of wrecked a handful of my parents camcorders and videos trying to record mock up adverts and animations. You’re never too old to start ‘playing’ again.
Conversation
N at the back is wondering what the other N’s are talking about. hehe. I must say, N is a pretty good actor! We spent the day walking around in different locations and improvising the whole way through. It was a great day to hang out and have these fun little memories.
